This week, Lismore endured its worst-ever floods crisis.
One of the homes badly affected belongs to Courtney and Gene (who is also a member of the local SES).
Their house sits at 13m above ground but is now 1.5 meters underwater and rising. As a result, she has lost everything in her home, including the family’s beloved pet.
Her friends have put together a GoFundMe page for financial assistance so Courtney and her family can get back on their foot as soon as possible.
“From the bottom of my heart, let’s all contribute to a fund for her to start over!” the GoFundMe page reads.
