When Aussie academic Kylie Moore-Gilbert was invited to attend an Iranian university seminar in 2018, she never imagined the horrors she would soon face.
When checking in for her return flight to Australia, Moore-Gilbert was accused of being a spy, and quickly thrust into a high-security prison run by Iran’s paramilitary group, the Revolutionary Guard Corps.
“I was blindfolded, handcuffed, and surrounded by noisy men,” she told Jonesy & Amanda.
“I was completely under their control and I did feel unsafe.”
