Former British Labour politician Fiona Onasanya has sparked controversy after claiming Kellogg’s Coco Pops of being racist.

The disgraced politician claims the discrepancy between Coco Pops’ brown monkey and Rice Bubbles’ fair-skinned children mascots is unacceptable, and subsequently racist.

“As you are yet to reply to my email,” she tweeted, addressing Kellogg’s UK.

“Coco Pops and Rice Krispies have the same composition (except for the fact CP’s are brown and chocolate flavoured)… so I was wondering why Rice Krispies [Rice Bubbles] have three white boys representing the brand and Coco Pops have a monkey?”

This morning, Jonesy & Amanda were simply not having it.

“Are you kidding? There’s a long history of animals promoting foods!” Amanda responded.
