After a year of coping with the challenges of COVID-19, animal loving kids can expect to have a howling good time during the upcoming school holidays at Future Vet Kids Camp.
Following a sell-out January 2022 camp in Sydney, Future Vet Kids Camp’s April 2022 school holiday program is now open for registrations!
The veterinary-inspired program is designed and run by twin veterinarians Drs Audrey and Alison Shen from BondiVet TV show and Aussie Mobile Vet, and caters to children aged 9 to 16 years.
The April 2022 camp encourages responsible pet ownership, the profession of veterinary medicine and surgery and a love and appreciation of all animals and their habitats!
Campers will learn about the world of veterinary science and the different professions working with animals. Included in the program is pet CPR, ultrasound, baking pet treats, exotic pets, genetic diseases, veterinary acupuncture, analysing blood laboratory results, suture workshops, animal rescue, wildlife conservation and much more.
They’ll also meet rescue dogs, handle rescue kittens and reptiles, and visit state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals for a behind-the-scenes experience!
The school holiday camp will be held at Waverley College in Waverley, NSW from Tuesday, April 19 to Saturday, April 23. A Virtual Online VET Camp will run from Saturday, April 9 to Saturday, April 23 with the ability for kids to join the classroom virtually (during the face-to-face camp dates) and participate with questions in real time.
There is also a 2022 PetSure Scholarship for a total of 12 deserving participants – 10 to attend the face-to-face camp and 2 to attend the Virtual Online program.
