It’s very early days so you could say we know nothing about plans for a Game of Thrones sequel, but we know a lil’ bit.
The Hollywood Reporter has just spilled the scant details that HBO is in early development of a sequel spin-off about Jon Snow… starring the only one we’ll accept, Kit Harington.
Provided the series gets the go-ahead, Harington looks set to reprise his role.
While many GoT fans would rather forget the eighth and final season, they will remember that this was the season that Snow discovered his true name was Aegon Targaryen, a potential heir to the Iron Throne.
However, in the finale, he was exiled from Westeros.
This new project could mean the Thrones finale wasn’t the final word, instead reopening the door to other surviving characters (Arya, Sansa and Brienne, anyone?) and their fates.
Game of Thrones is HBO’s most popular and Emmy-winning series of all time.
