Hold on to your butts, Jurassic fans. This is the reunion you’ve been waiting for.
The OG cast who survived the first Jurassic Park – 29 years ago – are back in Colin Trevorrow’s final dino instalment, Jurassic World Dominion.
We’re talking Sam Neill’s Alan Grant, Laura Dern’s Ellie Sattler, and Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm are back, alongside Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing.
(Seriously, when Alan Grant sighed “Ellie Sattler” in the clip below, I nearly self-combusted)
Also returning is the sort-of-friendly velociraptor Blue, who seems to now be a mum. Awww, clever girl!
This time, the dinos aren’t sequestered to some remote island like Isla Nublar… it’s way more hectic than that.
Trevorrow’s synopsis confirms the time jump since Fallen Kingdom:
‘Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live — and hunt — alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.’
