After losing his father to brain cancer in 2014, Kieran Neeson – the son of Aussie rock icon Doc Neeson – has been advocating and supporting brain cancer research.
“To say it’s a horrible disease is an understatement and I’ve seen first hand how cruel and unforgiving it can be. It has one of the highest mortality rates yet only receives 5% of cancer research government funding every year,” he explains.
“This needs to change, and I’m going to do what I can to play a part in that, so that in time, others diagnosed with the disease and their families won’t have to go through what we went through, and that one day we will find a cure.”
